Mulholland Drive Soundtrack
Los miércoles suelen ser días de sosiego para mí, así que decidí poner nuevamente play a la película y complacerme una vez más con este maravilloso trabajo fílmico; creo que fue la sexta vez que veo Mulholland Drive, una de las películas más bizarras y extrañas que ha hecho David Lynch a lo largo de su carrera, muy aparte y no tan lejano de las cintas consagradas Blue Velvet y Twin Peaks.
Mulholland Drive (2001) definitivamente es un film thriller, dosificado en un envase pop, acompañado de una vertiginosa narrativa con distintos parajes y vinculaciones, creando en el espectador: ambigüedades con las secuencias, misteriosas acciones y sobre todo, un pánico incierto que supera toda película lanzada en ese año.
El realizador de Eraserhead, pensó siempre que la arquitectura de una buena puesta en escena, debe estar -además- acompañada esencialmente de una intensa y concordante banda de sonido, que cale hondo a nivel sonoro y que, de vez en cuando se imponga ante la imagen. Para esta ocasión, Lynch contó con la participación del productor sonoro Angelo Badalamenti, que supo crear y atmosferizar las escenas mediante orquestas y sintetizadores, del mismo modo de contar con adaptaciones adecuadas y que brindaban una especial esencia característica del film.
I've Told Every Little Star, sintoniza y rompe con la tradicional estructura del soundtrack-hollywoodense, tras haber cambiado y puesto un nuevo ritmo a la dramatización, creando en todo momento un sentimiento setentero e irónico glamour , estallido galopante visual y sonoro.
Silencio, originalmente por Roy Orbinson (Crying), la adaptaron magistralmente para terminar con la cereza en la torta, llena de nostalgias, llantos irremediables y efluvios extraños en la sala, que emanaba en todo momento una sensación surrealista.
Estas dos canciones, diría que marcan potencialmente la banda sonora, por contener un impulso auditivamente fuerte, darle un sobrepeso especial en la dramatización y crearle nuevas atmósferas y sensaciones al film. Sólo para oídos eclécticos.

Un amigo cree que las limosinas son como emisarios de la muerte, siempre con chóferes de negro y que son como la parca. Y que es muy fácil creer que es un sueño: es más Lynch pensar en una verdadera conspiración, y ese temor y ese grip mientras uno ve el film tiene que ver con la certeza de que hay algo más, un pathos que no comprendemos.
